Freeze Drying of Plant Material
Our founder, a pioneer in vacuum freeze drying has developed large scale drying chambers. Plant material can be securely transported to our facility for secure drying. For large-scale drying, we have mobile chambers which can be transported across the United States and Canada for on-site drying.

Why Freeze Dry?
Vacuum freeze drying has emerged as a superior method for drying cannabis plants, offering several advantages over traditional drying techniques. As the cannabis industry continues to evolve, the adoption of innovative technologies like freeze drying has become integral to preserving the quality, potency, and overall integrity of the cannabis plant.

Preservation of Cannabinoid Profiles:
Vacuum freeze drying operates at extremely low temperatures, preventing the degradation of delicate cannabinoids such as THC and CBD. Unlike conventional drying methods that can lead to heat-induced cannabinoid breakdown, freeze drying ensures that the original chemical composition of the cannabis plant is maintained, resulting in a more potent and effective end product.

Retention of Terpenes and Aromas
Terpenes, the aromatic compounds responsible for the distinctive flavors and scents of cannabis, are highly volatile and susceptible to degradation during traditional drying processes. Vacuum freeze drying allows for the preservation of terpene profiles, ensuring that the final product retains its unique flavors, aromas, and therapeutic qualities.

Consistent and Controlled Drying
Freeze drying provides a controlled and uniform drying process. This consistency is crucial for cannabis cultivators and manufacturers, as it ensures that every batch of dried cannabis maintains the same level of quality. By eliminating the risk of uneven drying associated with traditional methods, vacuum freeze drying results in a more predictable and superior end product.

Minimization of Losses in Weight and Appearance:
Traditional drying methods can lead to significant losses in both weight and visual appeal as cannabis plants dry out. Vacuum freeze drying minimizes these losses by removing moisture through a sublimation process, preserving the structure and appearance of the cannabis buds. The end result is a visually appealing product with minimal shrinkage.

Reduction of Mold and Microbial Risks:
The low-temperature environment of vacuum freeze drying inhibits the growth of molds and harmful microbes. This reduction in microbial activity contributes to a safer final product, minimizing the risk of contamination and ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards.

Extended Shelf Life:
Cannabis products dried using vacuum freeze drying methods have an extended shelf life compared to those dried using traditional techniques. The removal of moisture inhibits the growth of mold and bacteria, preserving the quality of the product over time and enhancing its stability for storage and distribution.
